Open Heart (2025)
Open Heart is the first single, and opening track, of Australian film composer Cassie To’s debut piano album Heart Songs. Often creating scores for the fictional lives of others, Heart Songs instead focusses the lens on the composer herself- a mosaic of pieces reflecting Cassie’s real-world relationships and experiences. This haunting, textured soundscape blends strings, woodwinds, synths and ambient electronics: an invitation to be still and listen deeply.
The full album will be released on 17 February, accompanied by two singles: Open Heart on 25 November and The Storm on 20 January.
